
Richard Biegel
Richard is the founder of MindEDU. Prior to starting MindEDU, Mr. Biegel spent over 35 years in commercial real estate and development over the course of which he has been involved in some of the highest profile real estate development projects in the U.S. Southwest. Additionally, he worked in investment banking where at Colony Capital (the 3rd largest private equity real estate fund in the world) he underwrote over $1.2 billion in real estate assets. In total, he has been involved in the development or redevelopment of over 2,500,000 square feet of office, retail and multi-family properties, and over 45,000 acres of land.
Notable projects include:
- The Gordon Company during the development of the second phase of Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and the redevelopment of the Scottsdale Galleria;
- The development, capital re-structure, asset management, acquisition and disposition of four community centers and fourteen master-planned communities, including Estrella (a 27,000 acre master-planned community in western Phoenix); the 1,900 acre Traverse Mountain community in Salt Lake City; and Northgate, a 1,200 acre master-planned community located along the eastern side of the Interstate 25 corridor in northern Colorado Springs. In 2014, he co-founded Immigration Capital, a scalable immigration and investment company under the USCIS Immigrant Investor program, also known as “EB-5” to provide EB-5 construction financing for premier real estate projects throughout the U.S.
Mr. Biegel served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps, holds an B.S. in engineering business from Arizona State University, and a Master of Real Estate Development degree from the University of Southern California.
